Kent Fabian is a Registered Architect and an Associate member of the New Zealand Institute of Architects.
Over his professional career Kent has worked in literally every aspect, and every scale of Retail Architecture, having worked for the big players in the retailing market place, including Westfield, AMP, Urbus, ING, Pacific Retail Group, Skycity, Hallensteins, Lippy, Wild Pair, as well as consulting for Councils and Retailing associations, including Papakura, Upper Hutt, Lower Hutt and Whakatane.
Previous to co-founding Architecture F+D=A Limited Kent was employed for over 6 years, with internationally renowned Australian retail architectural firm Hames Sharley. Initially as a Design Architect, and ultimately raising to the level of Associate Director within the New Zealand office. During this time Kent worked on a large range of project types and scales, from very large scale mall developments to individual hospitality fitouts. In 2001 Kent won the Hospitality section of the Retail Design Award for “Cock & Bull” Botany.
Prior to his Hames Sharley experience Kent had already built up a strong reputation in leading New Zealand Retail Fitout Architectural practice, Gascoigne Associates Limited. During his time at Gascoigne Associates Kent completed well over 100 interior fitout projects, along the way, winning major architectural awards for “Lippy” Queen Street, and “Route 66” –Newmarket.
At Gascoigne Associates Kent was often involved in nation wide rollouts and brand developments for retailing chains including “Liquor King”, “Hallensteins” and “Noel Leeming”
