Remuera Pool House

At the same Roy Lippincott (1885-1969) designed house, Architecture F+D=A were commissioned to design a Pool house that would compliment the historic house, whilst providing the exterior recreational area of the property with an and recreational focus.

On one hand it had to be able to open up to and function as an all-weather extension to the pool  area for  entertainment Our client a keen rower also wanted to function as a exercise gym for him and his friends to train.  Logistics with regard to compliance to the necessary council rules pertaining to water safety were paramount, as was the need to create the space in a style that was complimentary to, and not overwhelming to the historic adjacent residence.
