This was to provide an additional 7,500 sqm in GFA and in addition to Farmers, include 15 new specialty tenancies, and both undercroft and rooftop parking.
Provided to the client, Westfield NZ, as a “Creative Package” in A3 format and also as a computer generated 3-D fly-around, the report developed the “look-touch-feel” for the project including the intended treatment; design elements, materials, colours, and lighting for all common areas of the expansion including the external facades, stair, elevator and escalator circulation cores, the main mall space as well as all amenities, such as toilets and parents rooms.
From this package Westfield own internal drafting team was able to complete the for-construction documentation, and the extension was opened with great success in November 2010.
